The Bishop Auckland, Blaydon, Durham and Consett U14 girls came together this weekend to take on an established Rockliffe side in a fantastic display of teamwork, determination, and developing skill.

Despite the final score going Rockliffe’s way, the match was packed with positives for the cluster team. From the first whistle, the girls showed great spirit in defence and some promising attacking play, working hard for each other throughout the game.

Millie was our Player of the Match after putting in an outstanding shift in defence, making a series of brave and well-timed tackles that kept the opposition at bay.

Lilian, Mia, and Sophie also played key roles — showing great effort, teamwork, and growing confidence with every play.

Coach and supporters alike were proud of the girls’ attitude and togetherness on the pitch. The game provided valuable experience for the girls.

Final score: Rockliffe win 34-15 but a spirited performance from the Bishop/Blaydon/Consett cluster!
