Now that the dust has well and truly settled for the end of the 50th season anniversary, it’s time to celebrate our players.

On Friday 15th May past and present players, their families and supporters came together to celebrate a momentous occasion.

In a packed clubhouse, the evening began with stories from the clubs first season and then it was time for the presentations.

The following players were presented with the following awards:-

Forward of the Year: Megan Owen
Back of the Year: Sophie Brunskill
Most Improved: Erin Corcoran
Players Player: Madeline Chandler

Men’s 1XV
Forward of the Year: Ben Hunt
Back of the Year: Joel Butler
Players Player: Flynn Dawson and Harry Crowther

Flynn Dawson was also the top point scorer in Counties 1 Durham & Northumberland
Joel Butler was 1XV top point scorer

Men’s 2XV
Forward of the Year: Cadell Ruddick
Back of the Year: Kieran Bedford
Players Player: Kieron McGurk

Club Person of the Year: Kieron McGurk

Special thanks go to Theresa Collinson, the clubs new manager and Nicola Gallone for the food and to the bar staff who worked on one of the busiest nights of the year.

An auction followed to raise funds for the club and an entertaining game of “Heads and Tails, and then a disco brought the night to a close at midnight.
