The 14’s were asked to maintain the performance levels seen in the past 3 games and to play with heart, commitment, and controlled aggression.

Consett are always a strong side, but for long periods of the game we matched them, made some great forward runs and scrambled bravely in defence.

The lads were asked to put together a playlist to get them focused before the game started! It was a surprise to the crowd that they entered the pitch with super woofer in hand!

There were some really brave performances today, Consett just being a little quicker at the breakdown at times, and had a dynamic centre who scored a late try to make the gap a little bigger.

In his first game, Harry played really well, was strong in the scrum and made some fantastic tackles.
Isaac made an incredible tackle to stop a certain try, and scored a great try after a catch and drive from the lineout, a move we'd been practising in training. They rightly won forward and back of the match.

There was so much 'go forward', strong runs from Olly, Riley, Elliot and Mackenzie got us up the pitch, but ball just didnt go to hand at decisive moments which may have resulted in more tries for us.

The lads were a little disappointed when they came off the pitch, but agreed that we'd played well and I'm proud of all their performances.

Keep performing like that and the results will come!
