Bishop/Consett travelled away to Stockton in a great display of teamwork and sportsmanship. With Stockton only able to field seven girls, we were proud to loan them several of our players so the match could go ahead. Amelia, Mia, Lilian, Bethan and Millie all stepped up showing exactly what rugby values are all about.

All five girls did themselves and the club proud. Mia was fully stuck in from the first whistle to the last, getting amongst it all game and never backing down. Lilian put in lots of awesome tackles, while Millie also made some great defensive stops throughout the match.

Bethan was awarded Best Back, once again showing just how amazing she is with her skill, awareness and effort on the pitch. Amelia received Player of the Match for true sportsmanship, offering herself to the opposition and leading by example throughout.

We are incredibly proud of all the girls for playing for the opposition. It’s not always an easy thing to do, but it’s always the right thing—helping others out and showing respect for the game. A fantastic team effort and a great example of rugby values in action.
