Bishop Braves v Redcar

Bishop Braves v Redcar

Jacqui Teasdale4 Nov - 20:29

Braves make up the numbers to get game on

Redcar visited West Mills with 4 players today, but our girls rallied around to get the game on.
Playing 7-a-side on a slightly smaller pitch, we played three 15 minute sessions.

Tori, Martha and Sienna played for Redcar in the first session and put in a great shift. Tori dominant around the ruck again, and Martha and Sienna making strong forward runs. Bishop edged the first game with some lovely tries and support play.

Chimmy, Tori and Isla played for Redcar in the second game and created a fairly even middle third, with Redcar just edging it. Bailey and Sienna gaining in confidence all the time and making great contributions in defence and attack.

Bailey, Georgia and Amelia played for our opposition in the final third and never put a foot wrong. Bishop outscoring Redcar in this final third.

So many positives from this game, our go forward was excellent, we were dominant around the ruck, and our tackling was good.

Isla was involved in play all over the pitch, scoring tries but breaking up play in defence.

India continues to improve all the time and is a little dynamo, she is fearless in defence.

But Esme really stole the show today with her confident go forward, three tries, and assists for others. What was amazing is that all her teammates recognised her hard work today and all were quick to nominate her as Brave of the Match.

A great match, played in the right spirit of the game!
