Well after all the bad weather we have had this week, it was very kind for Consett to host us, plus it was great to be able to play rugby.

We had 12 players available today which meant we had 2 teams of 6. It was a very even match between Bishop and Consett as they both showed lots of good attacking rugby.

We made a tactical decision by having Erin as our scrum half today and that gave us a lot more structure in the attack and it was a role that she did brilliantly. At times our defence was good as we worked hard for each other but we did talk about going lower in the tackle and we will continue to work on that in training. Our attack was brilliant with a combination of speed and power; our kick offs were brilliant to start but a little shacky by the end due to a little tiredness.

Things to work on in training is to run towards the try line not the touch line because when we did we scored.

Today's players of the day were Kade as he showed lots of hard fast attacking running which helped him score his tries and Henry for his quick ball and is tackling with spatial awareness.
