Both teams started a little slow while we shook off the Tag Rugby mindset but as the games progressed so did the players with some great tackles and great tries from both sides.

Some points to work on for future training sessions but overall the U9’s went out, shook off the nerves and played some great rugby. All the hard work in training over last 4 weeks really paid off.

We, as coaches couldn’t be prouder of how well you all did and how much you have progressed.

Well done to our players of the match Rufus and Robert for brilliant skill and teamwork throughout the morning but also well done U9’s as a team who experienced their first contact match and all finished with smiling faces, which is what it’s all about.
