Bishop Auckland U15’s 45–17 Houghton U15’s
A superb team effort from Bishop Auckland U15’s saw the boys come away with an excellent 45–17 home victory over Houghton U15’s
The opening 20 minutes were anything but easy, with Houghton putting us under significant pressure and forcing us into a number of mistakes. However, the boys showed fantastic character. Heads didn’t go down, and instead the team trusted their training, stuck together and knuckled down.
From that point onwards, the hard work started to pay off. The boys grew in confidence and began to find their rhythm, working brilliantly together in both attack and defence. The defensive organisation improved, with players supporting each other, making important tackles and working hard to put Houghton under pressure.
In attack, the team showed some excellent rugby, moving the ball well, creating opportunities and finishing them with confidence. The teamwork, communication and commitment throughout the game were a real highlight, with every player contributing to a thoroughly deserved victory.
