U14 GIRLS PLATE FINAL

The Under 14’s Plate Final saw Bishop cluster with Consett in a fiercely contested game against Stockton/Blaydon. From the first whistle to the final moments, it was a battle defined by grit, courage, and heart.

Amelia deservedly earned Back of the match, showing determination and relentless effort throughout.

Sophie produced one of the standout moments of the match with an unbelievable run, slicing through the defence and coming agonisingly close to a try.

Lilian put in a tremendous defensive shift with some superb tackles.

Mia’s ferocious tackling set the tone and rattled the opposition time and again.

Special praise goes to Ivy-Grace, who stepped up brilliantly in her very first game. Playing in two different positions, she showed composure beyond her experience and delivered some excellent tackles. Molly also embodied true resilience — despite carrying an injury, she played strong in the scrum and never backed down.

It was a game that stayed close until the very end, with Stockton/Blaydon narrowly edging the result. While the scoreboard didn’t fall our way, the performance spoke volumes about the team’s spirit and growth.

A huge thank you goes to the Under 12’s coach Andy Boyd, who came to cheer us on and generously stepped in as referee — greatly appreciated by everyone. And of course, heartfelt thanks to the parents, families & Under 12’s whose energy and support from the sidelines lifted the team throughout.

A tough result, but an incredible effort. Plenty to be proud of!
