Bishop 50-10 Sunderland
Bishop Barmy’s Under 13’s delivered an outstanding performance in their recent fixture against Sunderland. The final result was less a measure of individual skill and more a testament to the team’s exceptional communication and collective effort, which allowed them to dominate the match from start to finish.
The core of Bishop Auckland's success came from the lads taking what they have been practicing in training into the match. The forwards were consistent in their positioning as they drove the line deep into the opposing half. This relentless pressure forced the Sunderland defence backward, creating the space needed for the central and back players to break through.
Their consistent driving not only retained possession but repeatedly put Bishop Auckland on the front foot.
The quality of communication across the field ensured accurate delivery of the ball, allowing them to capitalize on the hard work of the forwards. The smooth passing and running lines resulted in plenty of well-worked tries.
During the second half, Sunderland were able to re-group and use the speed of their wingers to make two break away try’s, giving them the drive to keep the determination up. But it was not enough to close the gap.
Many of the lads managed to get the ball across the line but Man Of The Match goes to Leo for his leadership as scrum half and delivery of 4 tries on the day.
Every one of the Bishop players should be proud of themselves for their efforts and take the opportunity to replicate the teamwork for all future matches.
