Consett 55 - 35 Bishop Auckland

In a change of scheduling to support Remembrance Day, Bishop Barmy's U13’s were welcomed to Consett Rugby Club on Friday night.
The dreary weather didn't stop the fantastic turn out to support both teams, however the thick fog and rain did make it a bit hard to see any action at the far end of the field!!

A fast start from Consett saw a series of early tries in the first half, driven by their strong front line who held an advantage in size against the Bishop boys. Spurred on by the support from the Bishop supporters, the lads remained resilient and changed for a more aggressive approach with Blake setting his usual fast pace and score the first of two tries for the game.

The second match started with Consett's forwards continuing to find opportunities to break through Bishops defence but Bishop managed to deliver some impressive tackles to show them they're no push over.
Bishops scrum skills paid off with the support of forward Tom who gave fantastic communication to the team and holding form and during the second game allowed for forward Conel to smash through Consett's defence to score a try.

Scrum half Leo managed to secure three tries for the team throughout the match to help close the deficit.

Freddie and Archie had their debut match for Bishop and looked well placed on the pitch with Archie managing to score a try!!

Despite the loss and the terrible weather, the Bishop Barmy's were resilient to the end and continue to improve each game.

Man of the match went to Tom for his scrummaging skills and communication throughout.
